Mental Health – let’s make it a priority

Wellbeing in Your Workplace

Work can be great for our wellbeing and mental health giving us a sense of purpose and meaning - as well as paying the bills.

Explore how to proactively and deliberately increase the wellbeing of both ourselves and our colleagues in the workplace – lets be ambitious about making work add to our wellbeing, after all we are there for many hours each day.

This a very interactive session, guided by Anne-Marie, to inspire you to consider what you can do to make YOUR workplace a great place to work.

• Engaged, happy employees are more productive, creative and make better decisions
• They are healthier – taking fewer days off sick.
• The also STAY – reducing recruitment costs and holding on to precious knowledge and skills
• Gaining a reputation as a great place to work means you will attract staff and be a “magnet” employer.

Work Life Integration Vs Work Life Balance

When people talk about balance it is either one or the other.

To work more you have less life, to spend more time with your family, you lose out by working less and therefore have less money and less resources to do what you want to do.
I disagree with these point of view.

To me, work life integration should be the goal.

This is where our life becomes our work, our passion, our skills, our values, and who we are becomes our impact on the world. How we treat people, how we make money (and how we use it) becomes our life.

About Stephen Wells

Steve has a BSc in Biochemistry and Physiology and uses logic, experimentation, reasoning, testing and he questions everything.

He is also a ReikiMaster, trained in ThetaHealing and has 20+ years of personal development, martial arts, energy work, Reiki, NLP, meditation, coaching and being coached.

Some reflections from Steve:

My mind works at a million miles an hour and my coaching comes from the heart (with everything mentioned above behind it). I listen to what people say and reflect back to them what I hear.

Some say I’m blunt, some say I’m flippant, some say I’m arrogant (I honestly try not to be) but overall most people say I trigger something in them that changes the way they think about their situation. << That make me happy.

It makes me happy because for many years I was stuck, I was repeating the same behaviours (and sometimes still do) and getting the same results. It took lots of different people (who were honest enough with me) to shake that up and bring me out the other side.
